"Karen gave me the confidence and perspective I needed to negotiate effectively for my current position.
She had the knowledge to coach me through an expert resume and how to best present my extensive background. She is very understanding and patient.
I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for this type of expertise.”

"“After 30 years of work I wanted to make a dramatic career change; I returned to school to get an MBA in Sustainable Management. Then I hired Karen to help me rewrite my resume.
Karen asked probing questions about what I wanted my work to mean to me; she's a great listener and - rather than plant ideas in my head, she helped me take my own goals seriously.”

"Prior to my first conversation with Karen, I was apprehensive for a variety of reasons. However, after our 1st 45 minute introductory discussion, in which she answered every question I had and addressed every concern with ease and confidence.
Karen then took the appropriate time with me to delve deeper into my background and intentions to find the nuggets to describe my persona, precisely, in a few short paragraphs. The result was a cleaner document which met my expectations exactly.
I found Karen a pleasure to work with through the entire process. Honest, direct, probing but not invasive, and obviously an excellent listener.
I would certainly recommend Karen's service.”

"Dear Karen,
In
one coaching session you changed my mind. I don't know what you
did or how you did it - but soon - within minutes - after we were
done talking I was ready to seriously go back to work, to go back
to being a legal secretary and to go back to commuting to San Francisco
- none of which I wanted anything to do with before our session.
We
then worked on my resume and it got me in the door at one of the
best law firms in the country. I will begin my 4th week at my new
job on Tuesday and I absolutely love it.
When
I contacted you I wanted to retire, work part-time and move to Arizona.
Now
I am thriving in San Francisco with no retirement date on the horizon.
I want to work. I love my job."

"I came to Karen because my current resume
wasn't working for me. I wasn't being noticed and odds are, my resume
was simply being discarded outright.
"Karen
asked great questions in an effort to get to know me and what I
wanted from my professional life.
"She
presented me with a stunning new resume...
"Within
3-hours of posting it to craigslist, I was contacted by a potential
employer who subsequently hired me.
"Most
importantly, Karen showed me that I had it in me to believe in myself.
I sometimes forget how to do that."

Subject:
Got hired-Good resume
Karen,
I hadn't written in a while, and wanted to update you on my Job
search.
I
just accepted the position we had been discussing. Sr. Director
Sourcing Strategy.
I
thought you should have this as a case study...and verification
of your work. We finalized my resume on 12/22. I used your advice
to make my cover letter interesting. I did this on 12/27. By 1/31
I had a call from corporate. The rest was phone interviews, and
an in-person interview the week of 2/9. They then offered me the
job on 2/17.
So
almost exactly 8 weeks from finalizing the resume...and only sending
it out to one company, I have successfully changed companies, and
moved my career forward. I think your advice to be a solution for
them was fabulous. I feel really good about the move and the job.
Thanks
again.

to reflect figures released June, 2004 by the State of California.
Yes, you can find what appears to be more recent data on the Internet
- however, I have looked at the numbers and realized that the analysts
were looking at the same base actual data and had made adjustments based
on models with correspondingly higher error projections. I opted to
retain the tables with lower error margins.
Sites that charge for salary information are pulling their data from
the same tables I provide here for free. You have paid for them with
your tax dollars, why pay twice?
If you are outside Marin, San Francisco and San Mateo Counties, I can
